Did some measurement according to the class rulesΒ on the “out-of-the-box” sail:
Yesterday I had a Dragon fight with Micromagics at the Wednesday evening competition.
As I’m still using the standard out-of-the-box sail, my expectations weren’t that high.
But what happened was really dramatic….
It seems that the micros were dancing around my Dragon, having lot of fun showing off……
I have to say that the wind speed was around 1-3 knots most of the time, sailed with a short keel version (-15cm) and had a lot of twist in the sails.
But also in winds around 4-6 knots the Dragon was just a little faster than the micros π¦ (top micro sailers NED)
So what’s next? Waiting for the Race rigs? Experimenting of creating my own rig?
I really need a clean fast victory over those micro’s at all kind of circumstances π
Any tips or tricks??
All advise is welcome.
